FUNCTION: Plan and direct activities for the 2nd shift of our Oregon manufacturing facility. Responsible for coordination and meeting quality standards, customer requirements, and cost targets. Provide support to the supervisors in each area to maintain effective employee relations and act in accordance with company policies and initiatives. Participate in establishing tactics to meet the strategic plan.
REQUIREMENTS: The preferred candidate will have at least 2 - 5 years of manufacturing management or supervisory experience, preferably including experience in the cabinetry industry. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) coupled with a strong accountability focus with demonstrated results are a must. Participate in and have a working knowledge of continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing and kaizen events as well as 5-S programs and other production improvement processes. A demonstrated hands-on approach with their staff, good coaching skills, and a “factory floor presence” are required. Degree required. |
